If you have a google email you can also create a personalized home page (www.google.com/ig). You can customize this homepage with free modules provided by google at
http://www.google.com/ig/directory.
I found another cool site that provides a directory of free modules...this one's not supported by google but provides an extensive list of modules such as weather reports, clocks, todo lists, etc. You can even play pacman from your google homepage.
